The latest String Theory concert was on January 14th and featured four hands piano with Elizabeth Schumann and Gloria Chen.
Here are some thoughts on the evening from STYI:
The tone colors and articulation were astounding, ranging from soft and luminous to screeching, metallic, and percussive. -Allen Liu
As an orchestral musician, I missed the colors/ timbre of the instruments. I greatly enjoyed the clarity of dichotomy. -Bryony Stroud-Watson
Riveting. I loved the visual and audible aspects of the very low, prominent notes. -Joe Julian
I was on the edge of my seat. I was so impressed by Gloria and Elizabeth’s ability to remain almost completely syncronized even through the irregular rhythms and time signature changes in the Stucky and the Stravinsky. -Harper Beeland
